The Grand Plan

Or, the greatest display of anal-retentiveness the world has ever known!

overcast 18 °C

I've decided to start again with my blogging - clearly the old site had outlived its usefulness, and I figured, where better to start then here, at travellerspoint - plus they have nifty templates!

So yes, back to the topic: the who, why, where, when and how of my trip around the world.

Who:
Me - Tristan, 21 yr old male from Sydney. Currently studying at Sydney University (BA/BCommerce), in my 4th year.

Why:
Why does anyone travel - because they can! In all seriousness, I have a HUGE case of the travel bug. I went on student exchange last year to Singapore (and subsequently travelled to Thailand, Malaysia, China, and Cambodia), and made many friends in Europe and North America. So in a large part, this trip is a chance to catch up with them!

It's also a chance to visit family - almost all of whom I've never visited in their home towns - particularly excited about this part!

And finally, but certainly not least, it's because I've been accepted to spend another semester abroad at UBC (University of British Columbia) in Vancouver, Canada.

Where/When:

  • July 2 - July 6: Singapore

  • July 7 - July 15: Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Orkney Islands)

  • July 15 - July 20: Warrington (Liverpool, Manchester, York)

  • July 20 - July 27: London (& Bath, Cambridge, Windsor and Sheerness-on-Sea)

  • July 28 - August 1: Leeuwarden (& Amsterdam)

  • August 1 - August 4: Paris (& Normandy)

  • August 4 - August 9: Munich (& the Bavarian Alps)

  • August 9 - August 12: Prague (& Plzen)

  • August 13 - August 15: Warsaw (& Krakow, Auschwitz)

  • August 16 - August 19: Berlin

  • August 19 - August 22: Copenhagen

  • August 22 - August 24: Bonn (& Cologne)

  • August 25 - August 29: England (for the Reading Festival)

  • August 30 - December 20: Vancouver (Studying at UBC)

  • December 20 - January 11: East Coast USA/Canada (DC, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Niagara Falls)

How:
This remains to be seen :)

Till next time,

Ciao!
