China: Huang Ban Ping & Sickness

ey guys,
Just letting you all (y'all in Singaporean dialect!) know that I am fine and well here in China. Whilst the past few weeks have hardly been the easiest of my life, it's been super worthwhile and I'm really enjoying it.
Last weekend 1/3 of the group came down with fever or diarrohea, which to be honest is not a surprise considering the almost total lack of hygeine "upstairs" (our term for where we were - the primary school we were at), but we are all (except one) better now.
I'm not too sure how many of you know why I am here....basically, all will be revealed when I get back to S'pore and type up my diary (I've been conciencious and have written daily). For the moment, I'll give you the basics.
I am here as part of a Singaporean team to teach English and repaint/upgrade a school near Daxin, Ninglang, in Yunnan Provence, China. We've just finished the volunteering aspect of our trip, and from now on its relaxing and trekking through the provence.
So that means I'll prob. be at internet cafe's far more often ![]()
Lots of love,
Tris.
PS: Sorry to those who have SMSed me and I haven't replied. My Syd number is blocked (and has been since Jan), my usual Sing number hasn't been checked for a week, and my current number is my "old" Sing number - 9395 ...
